The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden, Dundonald , Co Down

This newly built restaurant officially opened by Northern Ireland’s first minister Peter Robinson , is situated in Dundonald , Co Down with picturesque views over Stormont Castle and the Craigantlet Hills. The site was already home to a busy garden centre but wanted to offer a food outlet to the public. The owners wanted to provide their customers with a tranquill space , so they could have a rest with a cup of tea and slice of cake after visiting the centre .The 1st floor Design provides an area where they can cater for private bookable parties after the garden centre has closed for the evening. A huge central fire place cosy’s up the large bookable space on this floor .The added bonus of a gift shop provides another revenue stream on the ground floor which is full of character. The traditional but grand style to the Secret Garden restaurant was created using vaulted ceilings, pitched pine beams, Belfast brick and reclaimed timbers , harmonised with the richness of the cream leathers and crushed purple velvet fabric creates a smart but cosy warm inviting space.
